Submissions for ACE are invited from all areas of Facilities.
Criteria: Staff demonstrates one or more of the following (specific examples to be provided to support the application):
• Innovation that leads to marginal gains, efficiencies in performance, or financial gain.
• Consistently demonstrates exceptional performance, significantly above that which might reasonably have been expected for their grade.
• Positively influencing the broader culture of the department by providing an outstanding example of customer service, collaboration/ team working and/or positive behaviours and practices.
• Highlighting our divisional values – priorities, ethos and principles.
• Celebrates Lancaster’s international outlook/contribute to a welcoming atmosphere and culture within the University and the wider region/promote good relationships between the University and the communities it is part of – locally and worldwide.
Award Process, Format and Frequency:
Frequency
• Monthly Individual Awards
• One ‘winner’, who has successfully met the criteria. ‘Highly Commended’ may be awarded to other significantly strong submissions.
• Quarterly Group/Team Awards will be awarded: January-March, April-June, July-September, October-December. 'Winner' only.
Submissions
•The standard template for either individual or Group/Team nominations should be completed by Nominator. The Nominee's Line Manager is required to authorise via email and nominee to confirm acceptance of submission following approval.
Judging
• A Panel of judges - consisting of representatives from across the division will score applications. The Chair has the casting vote in the event of split decision.
• Submissions are open to all Facilities staff.
• Overall winners will be submitted into the University staff Awards.
• Winner receives either £250 ex gratia payment or 1 day additional leave. Highly Commended receives £20 Eat Card.
• Quarterly Group/Team Award winners receive £250 to be shared between the team.
• Winners will be recognised at the Christmas Social.
